Global Outdoorsmen Inc. (GODI)
Global Outdoorsmen Inc. “GODI”, is a new organization established in British Columbia, Canada and is a sister company of Smart Lock Technology Inc. GODI is set up to promote outdoor sports in a global scale. GODI awards its own certification, set the qualification and examination in global standard. We provide access of our members and instructors qualification on our website: www.godi.ca for easy and quick reference when needed. This information is useful when members travel abroad that require proof of qualification for the sports.
Formation of GODI
Smart Lock Technology Inc. has been developing shooting accessories and providing firearms safety training courses in British Columbia, Canada since 1997. Smart Lock has trained more than a thousand students over the past years. Besides the training, to promote activities in a safe and enjoyable manner, Smart Lock holds a regular meeting monthly for their members to exchange shooting, hunting and outdoors related information.
In the 2007 meetings, there were discussions on a certification card that should be issued to record individual level of qualification achieved and thus lead to the formation of GODI.
Brief Introduction of Mr Sandy Yu, a founder of Smart Lock and GODI
With an in-depth knowledge of firearms, Mr. Sandy Yu invented a ring activated smartgun device: Magloc that requires the user to wear a magnetic ring in order to fire the gun.
Qualification achieved:
· Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Instructor/Examiner
· CORE examiner (Hunter Safety Course)
· IPSC Black Badge Instructor
· IPSC Range Officer
· Firearms Verifier (RCMP)
· Pleasure Craft Operator Card Instructor/Examiner
· Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor/Examiner
· First Class Diver of the British Sub-Aqua Club
· Scuba Diving Instructor Qualifications of BS-AC; CMAS; NAUI (life time member) and PADI.
· Associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor RISC (Land Surveying).
Mr Sandy Yu is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
